From Dubrovnik it was a short ride to the border and Montenegro. We still were plagued by a stormy weather system which didn’t seem to want to move on. Each day the forecast promised sunshine but the weather system wasn’t listening.
We managed to visit the bay of Kotor with the mountains shrouded in clouds and a cruise ship sheltering in the bay. It was a beautiful ride with the mountains coming right down to the sea. We stopped for lunch in the walled city of Kotor and then headed through the 1.6km tunnel back on the road south.
We stayed in a small apartment high up overlooking the coast before Budva and were treated to 2 days of storms with spectacular thunder and lightning and high winds. With another break in the weather we headed down the beautiful Montenegran coastline towards Albania.
